The Hidden Bays and the Clear Water of the North Shore of Gran Canaria
The most popular beach and scuba diving spot on the North-West coast is Sardina. The name comes from the huge school of sardinas, normally running away from the half – one meter long barracudas. These scene can be observed by snorkelling as well, just like the colorful starfish close to the shore. It is worth to do a try out scuba dive session if you have never done it before, the local dive shop in Sardina will help you happily. Before we arrive to Puerto de las Nieves, the beach of Agaete, from where the ferries leave to Tenerife, I invite you for a short, half hour walk int the valley of Juncal. At the end of this adventurer trip (through a little forrest and between huge vulcanic walls), you will find yourself in an almost empty bay with tons of simmetric pebbles. This is a meeting point of octopuses, so worth to go for a snorkell trip in the crystal clear water. The ocean here is protected by the cliffs, so the water is calm, the current is soft. Meanwhile you can enjoy the view of the Tale of The Dragon (the chane of mountains of the west cost, which actually has a shape of an imaginary dragon’s tale) and in clear weather the view of Tenerife with Teide, the highest point of Spain.mily
19. Jover, San Cristóbal de la laguna Tenerife (Spain)
Sardina del Norte is located to the north of Gran Canaria (such as their name suggests). It is located on the side of the municipality of Agaete, both oriented almost to the west, which allows to see the best sunsets. What Favors the clean air and clean when it comes to a people away from the big city. The area of beacon of sardine has an architecture very characteristic that makes you feel like you’re in Santorini or in Ibiza; with white houses along the coast and natural pools in the crystalline to see reflected the sun’s rays. Come on. Without a doubt, a unique location to enjoy a walk, the quiet, the silence and the spectacle of the sunset. Photo: puddles in Sardina del Norte, Gran Canaria – Gran Canaria (Spain) 19. Jover, San Cristóbal de la laguna Tenerife (Spain) Photo: Natural pools of jover, San Cristóbal de la Laguna – Tenerife (Spain) The pools of Jover are located in a coastal village in the north of Tenerife, Tejina. The North of Tenerife, is an ideal place to see the best sunsets along its coast, and more after a good bath. The salt water has curative properties because it comes directly from the contact with the algae. On the way out of the pool there are a few pipes with fresh water from the mountain, in the case of who also want to take a bath of fresh water.albacuadrado
Puerto de Mogan
You will find your perfect place on that island. Are you up to surfing, hiking, diving, camping? Are you into dry places and hot air or more into forests and mountains? Or maybe just having a barbecue by a lake? How does it sounds, to have a small Sahara next to you? Or maybe just windy places with some outdoor pools? Yeah, Gran Canaria is multifaceted.
