Through my lens:
I visited this place along with my friends in July 2016. It was a stop-over before we headed back to our hometown and I must say that this was one of the best decisions we made. We took a bus from Ernakulam to Fort Kochi, due to traffic we took longer than expected to reach our destination. We reached late in the evening and we checked into Bastian homestay. It was well kept and homely with traditional wooden furniture which definitely gave us the feeling of being in God’s own country. It was the perfect place which fitted our shoe-string budget. We kept our luggage in our respective rooms and headed out to have some local cuisine. We walked around until we came across a hole in the wall restaurant. By the way, this kind of restaurants often offers the best food. Being in Kerala one must definitely try the beef dishes and fish curries which are mouth-wateringly tasty and flavoursome. Their signature delicacies are dishes which use coconut and curry leaves giving it a distinct aroma and zest. Of course, we Indians know that coconut and curry leaves are two main ingredients which have a long association with Malayali cuisine. We ate till our tummies were full and relished every morsel. It was a satisfying and much-needed walk, back to our homestay. The owner of the Homestay gave us a map and a pamphlet which had a detailed information as to what to do around Fort Kochi. A control freak that I am, I began planning our trip meticulously that night. However, my travel plans were met with few raised eyebrows. My friends’ idea of travelling was going with the flow and “chilling” and my goal was to check things off my travel list. This was going to be interesting, I thought to myself as I prepared myself to sleep.Nomadic Noelle
In a nutshell, for all the people who have already been to Goa and who wish to go for scuba diving, visit a less commercialized, more natural, and a lot more peaceful place, Tarkarli, Malvan is the place for you. I really enjoyed being there and would definitely recommend everyone to go there too!vidhi-gupta

Whilst in a shop in Goa, we started chatting to someone who lived in the Himalayas, Kashmir. We told him how we wanted to visit his hometown and by the following afternoon we were at his home in Goa being cooked a gorgeous meal by his brother, shown beautiful pictures of their home in Kashmir and being offered a place to stay if we were to ever visit. We were waited on hand and foot by his brother and friends who finally showed us how to eat the proper Indian way using your thumb to shovel the food into your mouth.Hannah Sinnott
Goa: Living with locals
How to get around in Goa Goa is the smallest Indian State. Living here is just laid-back, that even on Sundays or holidays, the shops and market in Margao are close. At around 1:30pm-4:00pm that is lunch time or siesta for the shop owners, which means that the shops are close too during those times. I live in Velim, a village, around 45 minutes by bus, or 20-30 minutes by scooter to Margao. Margao is the second largest City in the State of Goa. Almost, or not, all the locals here own a scooter, which will definitely just take you anywhere you want to go. Taking a public bus is totally just fine and safe, but there are certain timings so you can catch it on time. A Filipina neighbor’s village around 2 minutes from my place, has 2 buses that go to Margao in the morning and 2 buses again coming back to her place in the evening. So, she really has to urge herself to learn to ride a scooter. At anytime she wants to go out, she can go by herself.Fe Canas
Where is it located?
Belgaum is situated at an idyllic spot on the map. It is at the cusp of borders of three states – Karnataka, Goa and Maharashtra. Nestled in the foothills of the luscious Western Ghats, the place is dressed in jaded greens and tranquil air for most part of the year.Trupti
GETTING TO LEH
So we decided, two girls, to go and travel around India for almost a month. You can reach Leh from New Delhi by bus or flight. Since we had in total only 25 days to visit India (Ladakh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Goa and Maharashtra) we decided to take the fastest way to reach Leh. On 26.9.2015 at 10:00 pm we arrived to New Delhi and step on Indian land for the first time. Our connection flight to Leh was the next morning at 5:15 am from national airport, so we needed to change the airport. People were telling us that we need to take a taxi to get there but since I always prefer to travel with local transport I insisted to go by bus. We exit the airport and there it was our first cultural shock. Firstly the heavy, hot and smelly air which made it a little bit difficult to breath in the beginning. And then we enter the empty bus which got immediately packed with Indian men who were staring at us. There were no women on the bus as the time was late in the evening. Many people were warning us about traveling in India especially when I said we reserved train tickets in a sleeper class. At that moment, being the only women on the whole bus we thought toAnita Jerše

Goa : Las Vegas of India
This was the first time I was travelling to GOA, INDIA that too on Christmas eve. As I landed on the Dabolim Airport, I hired a cab to reach my guest house in Porvorim. On the way, I was mesmerized by the scenic beauty of GOA. The clear sky, green hills, coconut trees flowing with wind, smell of fish in the air and BEACHES, churches and water every side. The best landscape I have ever seen. Neatly tucked into the Western coast of India, Goa is the smallest state in India, associated most with BEACHES, churches and a happening nightlife and over 300-year old Portuguese architecture. GOA is different from the rest of the country. It has characteristic colourful houses, lush green fields and a soothing languidness in the atmosphere.anuradha-singh

My First Time in Goa
It took my companion and me around 14 hours of bus travel to reach Panjim from Hyderabad. After a rest stop at Jadcherla for dinner, passing over the mighty Krishna River that went under a bridge (national highway 167) and snaking our way up a Ghat road, we step foot in the Panjim bus station. Panjim, the other name for Panaji, the capital city of Goa is situated on the bank of Mandovi River, in North Goa. Mandovi bridge connects Panjim to the Pilerne side of Northern Goa; the bridge is also a highway – Kochi – Panvel Highway.R S Nikhil

Goa – A Tourist Destination for a Memorable Vacation Trip
Soon after our marriage we had the opportunity to go on a Goa trip and it turned out to be a memorable one. It gave us some time to relax and leave behind our hectic daily schedule as well as work pressures in Mumbai itself. During our Goa trip we explored all the beaches (which is obviously a must for anyone coming to Goa) and also many of the other activities and places it is popular for.Bikram Bhakat
