After scrolling through a travel magazine for about an hour, I wanted to travel to someplace and make most of my vacation. I took a pen and paper quickly and began listing down, how and what all I wish to experience on this vacation. My list started with an elegant location, explore the city’s grandeur, the taste of royalty, shopping hubs, and relish all types of hot, spicy, salty, tangy flavors and some fun activities all at one place. To experience all these things, I chose to visit Udaipur rightly said to be the Venice of the East.
Found on the banks of Lake Pichola, the city of Udaipur are a vast land of lakes, temples, palaces, colorful bazaars, gardens, and historic charms, exotic flavors which reflects the extricating and thrilling cultural heritage of Rajasthan. You can take a flight or a train ride, or you can drive yourself to Udaipur as it is an easily accessible travel destination in India.
The Lake Pichola of Udaipur
The best thing about this city is it offers something for every kind of traveler. Wherever you go in Udaipur, you will see lakes which look extraordinary beautiful during sunset. Here you can pick a Rajasthani dress and rent it and get clicked in those dresses. You can also enjoy the serene and eye-pleasing views of Udaipur from the small pond named Dudh Talai Lake situated near the Lake Pichola. You can also experience and cherish the light and sound show at the musical garden around the Dudh Talai Lake. The thing to do in Udaipur is visiting “Under the Sun,” India’s largest fish aquarium. The Aquarium is the home to 180 species of marine and freshwater fishes. Visiting all these places is the best way to have fun with your kids.
Honestly, when I started exploring the city, I wasn’t expecting to meet all the requirements on my list. However, now I can say, the charms of incredible India begins at Udaipur. You will be surprised to see the explicitly beautiful lakes of Udaipur in the land of desert, Rajasthan. The history and mysteries of Mewar kingdom, the struggles, the success, the beauty and duty of the Queens, princes, and princesses of Maharana Udai Singh kingdom are worth exploring.
