Hey! I'm Hjørdis Kiara and I love, (LOVE) to travel. They say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, I guess that's true. As I grew up, I traveled a lot with my parents and lived in different countries such as The Faroe Islands (where I am from by the way), Denmark, the UK and the US. I am now living in Greece where I am currently building up a refugee/local radio station to spread awareness about the situation in Greece with the refugees and economically. Besides from traveling, I also love to write. Especially about my journeys. I have visited 34 countries and learned so much from each and every one of them. Countries are like humans. So much alike, but so very different, each with their own story to tell. Working with refugees has truly opened my eyes to many things, including how fortunate I am to have the opportunity to travel. Every day, I meet people who are stuck in a place, most likely a refugee camp, without the ability to work or travel. My best advice is: Go and explore. Material things come and go, but memories stay forever. Open your mind to different people, religions, beliefs and culture. Have fun. Be playful. You are never too old for adventure.
