I am from the USA but have been living in Argentina for the past 2 years living as an expat. After traveling around various parts of central and eastern Europe, I turned to Latin American countries and fell in love, quite literally, and have made it my new home. But of course I am always up for new adventure spots! I went to school at Flagler College in St Augustine FL studying Spanish, Latin American Culture Studies, Graphic Design, and Fine Arts. I couldn't decide! Since Ive graduated I moved to Argentina working with a company as Brand Marketing and Social Media. It was through that contact where I landed a position as Community Manager with a start up fin-tech service company. I learned so much from that job, considering I knew nothing about fin-tech or financial services on Wall Street. And it was online work which I loved because it allowed me to be anywhere I wanted to be and still have a steady job to keep me a float. A year later by coincidence I met a lovely expat couple who recommended that I work with them in an English Immersion organization. This became the ultimate dream job; working with kids and mentoring as a friend and as a role model. We work with bilingual schools from all over Argentina and take the students on week-long retreats where we teach them about leadership, teamwork, self identity and purpose and most of all believing in yourself! Its such a rewarding experience at the end of the day to see how much of a bond you're able to create in such a short time. I have always been inspired by other cultures and international relationships. Especially now, during this hostel time in the world, I believe it is so important that we as human being share our backgrounds and beliefs and ways of life with others. That we can see the world through someone else's eyes. For that reason I fell in love with traveling, and the more I am able to the more I want to share it with whoever will listen.
