How to reach…
Rishikesh if approximately 245 kilometers away from Delhi.The best way to reach Rishikesh from Delhi would be by bus. Being a tourist place it has a large network of buses which connect it with important places.The bus is from Kashmiri gate ISBT, New Delhi to Rishikesh.
If you want to travel by train, the nearest station for Rishikesh is Haridwar which is approximately 25 kilometers away from Rishikesh. you can take Bus or Taxi to reach from Haridwar to Rishikesh.
The nearest Airport to Rishikesh is Jolly Grant Airport at Dehradun which is approximately 35 kilometers away from Rishikesh. From there also you can take a cab which will drop you at Rishikesh.

Just take a walk on the outskirts of the city. The mountains glow under the rays of the sun. The light breeze stirs the leaves of trees. The surrounding is soothing.The walk will give you an insight of local culture. They live simple lives and a lot of people come from all over the world to see their culture. Some people even adapt their culture and live in there in the Ashrams.
Although Rishikesh is the kind of place where everything is beautiful yet there are some places which attract a lot of tourist’s attention.
It is the campsite in Rishikesh. It is also one of the starting points for river rafting. It has the white sand beach. when sun rays hit the sand, its particles shine like million stars in the sky.
The bridge is an iron suspension which connects two villages; Tapovan in Tehri Garhwal district to Jhonk in Pauri Garhwal district. The bridge is associated with one of the greatest Indian Mythological story called Ramayana. Legend has it that Rama’s younger brother Laxman crossed the river Ganga just by using two ropes. The bridge was built at the same place to honor him.
Apart from these places, there are several temples like Triambkeshwar temple, Neelkanth Mahadev temple, Shatrughna temple and Raghunath temple. Each of these temples has their own legend.
There is a spectacular ceremony that takes place every evening at the bank of holy river Ganga. It is called Ganga Arti. Thousands of local native and tourist attend this ceremony. This ceremony is held at three places in India: Haridwar, Varanasi, and Rishikesh. This is the perfect display of rituals of Hindu culture.

Another thing you will get in your rafting package is cliff jumping. There is cliff jumping point near Maggie point. Its height is about 18 feet.It is another wonderful option to lose your physical senses and enjoy the thrill of the moment.
