It is the campsite in Rishikesh. It is also one of the starting points for river rafting. It has the white sand beach. when sun rays hit the sand, its particles shine like million stars in the sky.
The bridge is an iron suspension which connects two villages; Tapovan in Tehri Garhwal district to Jhonk in Pauri Garhwal district. The bridge is associated with one of the greatest Indian Mythological story called Ramayana. Legend has it that Rama’s younger brother Laxman crossed the river Ganga just by using two ropes. The bridge was built at the same place to honor him.
Apart from these places, there are several temples like Triambkeshwar temple, Neelkanth Mahadev temple, Shatrughna temple and Raghunath temple. Each of these temples has their own legend.
There is a spectacular ceremony that takes place every evening at the bank of holy river Ganga. It is called Ganga Arti. Thousands of local native and tourist attend this ceremony. This ceremony is held at three places in India: Haridwar, Varanasi, and Rishikesh. This is the perfect display of rituals of Hindu culture.

There are a number of rapids that are categorized on based on the level of challenge they offer. some of them were Double Trouble, Shivpuri rapid, Terminator, crossfire, Rollercoaster etc. There is a local slang that guide would tell you. It was really funny and sounds something like this “Twinkle twinkle little star, Ganga Maiya superstar.”
