Playa Blanca beach in the Dominican Republic.

The Dominican Republic is the place where your paradise beach dreams will definitely come true, and yes, we are talking about Punta Cana, the destination you’ve always dreamed of for your vacations.

I’m talking about the hot tropical weather, blue skies, turquoise waters and white sands. Punta Cana is located to the east of the Dominican Republic Island and it is known to be one of the most beautiful destinations in the Caribbean.

Playa Blanca in Punta Cana.

With just a few kilometers Playa Blanca is one of the most beautiful beach spots on the east side of the island and all the Dominican Republic itself, located at the Punta Cana Resort & Club. You’ll see palm trees anywhere you turn your view, the sand on your feet it’s so warm that makes you feel relaxed the moment you step on it and the water, just not too cold and not too warm, feels like a touch of life when you dive yourself into it.

The beach is very calm, you can go there with your family, a group of friends, have a nice time as a couple or just go to relax on your own.

It is the perfect landscape to take great photos and videos, find inner peace and inspiration, or just lay in the sand with your favorite book.

When you get in the water you can walk for minutes and the water won’t go over your knees, which is great for me when I decide to bring a drink with me.

The beach club.

One of the most wonderful things about Playa Blanca beach is their beach club called Playa Blanca Restaurant.

They are open from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. every day,  that means that you don’t have to worry about bringing food or beverages since they have it all covered.

They also offer little spaces such as tables, chair longs and beach beds for you to spend the day and enjoy the view, beautiful and super clean bathrooms and a shower just in case you’d like to take off the sand when you’re leaving.

The club has different areas depending on what is your mood for the day, you can choose to sit at a table inside the restaurant or you can go straight to the bar.

It is a perfect place for dinner as well and, most of the times,  you can have lunch or dinner listening to a live band or singer as well as great music if there isn’t anyone performing at the time.

Everyone at the beach club is super friendly, from the waiters to the bartenders, everyone will treat you with a smile all day, I think that is one of the reasons I feel just like home when I’m there.

They also have transportation schedules from your hotel to the beach and back if you are staying at the Punta Cana Resort & Club complex.

Food and beverages.

What to eat?

The menu at the beach club is a delicious combination of the Dominican Republic flavors and gourmet seafood, they also have street style food such as burgers and sandwiches and all type of drinks you desire at the moment.

I can personally recommend the “Chivo Lasagna”, this is a regular lasagna but stuffed with goat meat, a traditional meat in the Dominican gastronomy, and one of my favorites, the chicken sandwich, made with a whole chicken breast and lots of cheese.

Since almost all visitors to the beach are tourists, they also offer all of the Dominican signature plates such as “La Bandera Dominicana” (white rice, red beans, and meat), “Pescado Frito” (fried fish with fried plantains) and ”Sancocho” (a heavy soup with 7 types of meat and vegetables).

They have a very large menu of delicious options for you to choose, and also a lot of options for the kids too.

What to drink?

Their drinks menu has a lot of options as well. But to be honest, every time I go I have to start with their delicious White Sangria, a combination of white wine and sparkling with tropical fruits.

Maybe the drinks are my favorite topic, if I start talking about how delicious they are I’d probably won’t finish today, so I’ll leave a list of my favorites.

-White Sangria (+1000 stars)

-Pina Colada

-Midori Sour

-Watermelon Mojito

-Cerveza Presidente (Dominican beer)

After spending a day in the water and the sand it’s time to relax with their wonderful expresso coffee. I’m not overreacting, I swear, it’s one of the best coffees I’ve tried.

Just imagine zipping on your coffee with the amazing view of the paradise beach of Playa Blanca.

Activities at the beach.

So at this point, you are probably thinking about how amazing this paradise beach is and how bad you want to be there, I mean there’s no blame, who wouldn’t?

But there’s a lot more to do at Playa Blanca, I’m talking about all the fun activities and sports you can find there.

Let’s start from the sand to the water.

You can find activities such as beach soccer and volleyball, so make sure you gather your friends and get ready to play!. And even if you don’t have enough players you can make some friends at the beach, why not?

Then we have the inflatable games for the kids, they can spend all day playing with other kids, sliding and jumping.

And for the ones looking for a bit more of emotion, there is kite surfing and boarding, paddle boarding, banana boat and you can also book a boat trip.

Of course, all the activities are under the supervision of the staff.

When in Punta Cana, go to Playa Blanca.

So yes!, Playa Blanca beach is the perfect spot for a day full of fun with a spectacular view, long beach walks with your couple, a day with your friends and family or just to go and enjoy on your own.

You don’t want to miss the opportunity of having the time of your life in one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean, just imagine having a drink while the sun sets with the most beautiful color palette you’ve ever seen in your life.

If you ever come to the Dominican Republic you must come to this beautiful paradise beach, you won’t regret it!

Every minute you spend in this unbelievable landscape will make you feel alive.
