What to do and see in Ireland

three; Inishmore(The big island) and Inisheer(the small island). You can get to all three islands in a lot of different ways. You can take a boat or plane from Galway and Doolin. Google it, you will find plenty of ferry services going to the Islands. If you are going to Doolin, I would definitely recommend staying at The Rainbow Hostel, they are absolutely lovely.

Temple Bar Pub – Traditional Irish Music

I hope you enjoyed reading this article as much as I enjoyed writing it. I want to say that I recommend visiting Ireland, Dublin and don’t only stay in Dublin, go outside of Dublin, visit Wicklow mountains or even go Galway or Cork. Plan your holiday and go ahead enjoy it to the fullest. Don’t forget to bring your passport on the way to the airport.

O’Brian Was his Name

There are two towers that sit atop the mighty Cliffs.  You can walk to either, however the walk to the Napoleonic Tower takes more time.  The other tower is O’Brian’s, which is the more famous of the two.  O’Brian’s Tower marks the highest point of the Cliffs, although the views from here are not as grand as the views on top of the Cliffs to the left.  It was built in 1835 by Sir Cornellius O’Brien as an observation tower for the Victorian Tourists that frequented the Cliffs at the time (yes the Cliffs of Moher have been a tourist site for THAT long!). According to the locals, the tower was O’Brian’s place to bring his lady friends.  The story goes, he built the tower to impress these women he was courting.  And admittedly, on a clear day, the view can be absolutely breathtaking.  You can see the Aran Islands to the West, Galway Bay to the North, and the mountains of Kerry to the South.  Also, he was responsible for building the large stone wall that marks the Cliff’s boundary.  Even he realized that the Cliffs can be a dangerous place.  For an extra price, you can climb to the top of the tower and take in the views as well as see the inside of this rather unique lover’s nest.

4. Galway Arts Festival

For all the glorious black brew I consumed over my time in Ireland, I had yet to experience the ‘perfect pour’, which takes 119.5 seconds at a 45-degree angle according to our host. You can get a fresh pint of Guinness just about anywhere in Dublin, but enjoying one in the Gravity Bar on the seventh story, with a panoramic view of the entire city you are about to explore, is something you don’t want to miss. And while you enjoy the delicious beverage and the beautiful vista, consider the short walk to the Jameson Distillery, Oscar Wilde’s House, the statue of James Joyce, St.Patrick’s Cathedral, or Trinity College and the Book of Kells– but that’s for another article! 4. Maynooth:Little Town in the outskirts of Dublin, Co. Kildare

The land of the leprechauns, or as others prefer to call it, the Emerald Isle, is a must have in your ‘To visit’ list. Do not get too anxious about the Irish weather, is not always cloudy in Ireland! Anyway, who will be bothered by a tiny raindrop or two? If you are planning a trip to this beautiful country, you have probably found out what to do in Dublin, Galway ,Cork or even in Limerick. Well, that’s not all folks! If you have a flexible schedule, I wouldn’t leave without visiting Maynooth. Maynooth is a ‘little’ (is what it might seems at the beginning) town located in the outskirts of Dublin, in County Kildare. Once you’ve put your feet in there, you’ll immediately transport yourself to one of those amazing scenarios you’ve seen so many times in movies. A gorgeous town with a lovely main street full of shops and places where you can eat, but still quiet enough to just walk around lost in your senses. It is certainly a different place to visit and its magical environment will captivate you in a second. But hold on, there’s more!
