Great white sharks: Port Lincoln, approx. 7 hours from Adelaide Has diving with sharks always been on top of your bucket list? If so, Port Lincoln is the only place in Australia from where you get in a shark cage and be just centimetres away from a great white. Adventure Bay Charters do daytrips from Port Lincoln to Neptune Island where great white sharks are spotted daily. For those not interested in actually getting in the water with the sharks, it is now also possible to see the sharks from an underwater viewing area. Furthermore, another cool thing about this exact company is that they focus on protecting the sharks’ natural environment; they use sound vibrations instead of berley to attract the sharks.Sofie M. The Fearsome Great Whites of Port Lincoln
We were travelling to Port Lincoln, a town (or city, if you’re Wikipedia, but I’d call it a town) on the Eyre Peninsula of South Australia. Port Lincoln is famous for many things – incredible seafood, champion racehorses, the most millionaires per capita in Australia and, of course, its beautiful scenery – but we were heading into town for one thing: to dive with Great White Sharks.Amelia Winter
